TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO HOLLYWOODBETS KENILWORTH, HOLLYWOODBETS DURBANVILLE, HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE, HOLLYWOODBETS SCOTTSVILLE, SUMMERVELD TRAINING CENTRE AND MILNERTON TRAINING CENTRE (“THE PREMISES”)

RACE COAST HOLDINGS (PTY) LTD (“the Company”) is the owner and operator of these Premises.

By entering or attempting to enter the Premises, you (and any persons under the age of 18 accompanying you) agree to comply with the following terms and conditions, including any related signage at the Premises setting out prohibited items or activities and terms and conditions set out in any ticket issued to you in relation to any event at any of the venues or facilities within the Premises.

CCTV NOTICE

•    Please note that the Premises are monitored by Closed-Circuit Television for the purposes of safety, security, and operational purposes. By entering the Premises, you consent to video and audio recording as part of these monitoring activities. 

RIGHT OF ADMISSION

• The Company reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any person from the Premises at its sole discretion. This includes but not limited to situations where a person refuses to comply with reasonable search requirements or engages in conduct deemed inappropriate or unsafe.

• We reserve the right to conduct searches of you and your belongings at any time whilst on the Premises. If you refuse to undergo a search, we may deny entry or request you to leave the Premises immediately.

• Entry into specific areas, venues or facilities within the Premises may be governed by additional or separate terms and conditions of entry and use in conjunction with these general entry terms. Attendance at events, functions or activities organised by third parties is subject to the third-party organisers own terms and conditions, which may differ from or supplement Terms and Conditions of Entry. 

ACCESS CONTROL & ACCREDITATION

• Access to the Premises requires valid badges, accreditations, tickets, and other entitlements (each referred to as a “Ticket”) shall only be purchased or allocated via authorised sources approved by the Company.

• The Company reserves the right to cancel any booking it reasonably suspects to have been made fraudulently.

• All Attendees must ensure tickets or accreditations are worn visibly at all times while on the Premises.

• Permission of a valid ticket does not guarantee access to specific areas or facilities which may be restricted or conditioned by the Company at its sole discretion.

• Children under the age 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is fully responsible for their behaviour and compliance with these terms and conditions.

CONDUCT OF ATTENDEES

• The Company reserves the right at its sole discretion and without prior notice, refuse admission to or expel any Attendee who:

i. breaches these Terms or applicable laws,

ii. commits or is suspected of committing a criminal offence,

iii. behaves in a disruptive, unruly, or offensive manner, or

iv. is abusive toward Company staff, fellow guests or contractors. Whether physically or verbally.

• Such removal or ban may be temporary or permanent and may apply to all Race Coast Holdings (Pty) Ltd properties.

• Attendees are responsible for the conduct of the guests they bring onto the Premises.

• The Company may in the interest of safety, conduct searches of persons, belongings including vehicles. Refusal may result in denied entry or removal from the Premises.

PROHIBITED ITEMS & BEHAVIOUR

Attendees must:

• Comply with lawful instructions from Company staff, directors, agents and representatives

• Behave in a safe, responsible, safe, and respectfully manner.

 The following are strictly prohibited:

• Entry by individuals who are visibly intoxicated.
• Bringing your own alcohol.
• Illegal substances or activities.
• Smoking or vaping in non-smoking areas.
• Underage alcohol consumption or gambling by persons under 18.
• Violence, threats, or discriminatory behaviour.
• Religious or political gatherings or protests.
• Firearms, weapons, pyrotechnics, flares, or fireworks.
• Handheld laser devices.
• Flags, banners, or items that may frighten horses.
• Glass, ceramic bottles/containers, or cans.
• Unauthorized filming/photography equipment.
• Unauthorized drones or aerial devices.
• Disruptive, anti-social or unsafe behaviour.
• Climbing fences, structures, or buildings.
• Marketing/promotional material without written permission.
•  Animals or pets (except service animals, if permitted).
• Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, frisbees or balls.
• Oka pipes/hubblies.
• Airhorns/vuvuzelas or blowhorns.
• Chairs, cooler boxes or umbrella’s.
• Braai equipment.

Track crossings may be closed for safety reasons. Do not cross when closed or at unauthorized locations.

Failure to comply may result in a ban from all Company-operated premises.

RACE COAST TURF CLUB AND PARADE RING RULES

The Company is committed to maintaining high standards at the Race Coast Turf Club and within Parade Rings and therefore the following rules apply in the Parade Ring:

• Owner or Guest badges are required for access.

• All guests must be accompanied by an Owner.

• Children under the age of 16 must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.

• Parade Ring Dress Code:

•  Collared shirts are requested
• T-shirts and golf shirts must be accompanied by a suitable jacket or blazer
• No shorts permitted
• No flip flops or sandals for gentlemen permitted
•  No glassware permitted in the Parade Ring

MEDIA COVERAGE & PROMOTIONAL USE 

NOTICE: PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO FOOTAGE WILL BE TAKEN AT EVERY EVENT. 

Attendees (including horses and minors) may appear in media coverage (TV, radio, print, or online). By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Race Coast Holdings (PTY) LTD and its affiliates and representatives. 

You release Race Coast Holdings (PTY) LTD, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings. 

By entering the premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties and release the Company and its representatives from any liability in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged.  

YOU HAVE BEEN FULLY INFORMED OF AND AGREE TO THE ABOVE CONSENT, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND
RELEASE BEFORE ENTERING THE EVENT. 

• Entry and use of the Premises is entirely at your own risk.
• You assume full responsibility for risks related to vehicle use, parking, and all other activities, whether on or off the Premises.
• Race Coast Holdings (PTY) LTD, its shareholders, directors, officers, agents, contractors, and staff will not be liable for any claim arising from loss, injury, death, or damage of any kind, except in cases of gross negligence.

 You waive and indemnify the Company from claims related to:

• Event cancellations, postponements or changes.
• Theft, loss, or damage of any property (including vehicles).
•  Personal injury or death
• Actions of third parties on the Premises, including but not limited to protest marches, demonstrations, or civil unrest
• Any enforcement of these Terms and Conditions.

Responsible Gambling
